Fashion Forward Friday [V.19]: Wedding Bliss with

2c921370a8ca0f013765ec82ae46fa19It’s great to feature companies and in this edition of Fashion Forward Friday I am featuring is “The New Way to Plan Your Wedding.” This one-stop shop for all your wedding needs from the dress to invitations, Since the company launched on Valentine’s day in 2012 their mission has been “to make wedding planning more simple and more fun.” Who wouldn’t want to add simplicity what could turn to a Bridezilla situation? In this edition I will be sharing my favorite wedding dress from the site and an entire look for that special day. Be sure to click the links within the post.

I chose to go with a lace dress from David’s Bridal as it serves as the main attraction and accessory of the look. Being that the dress is strapless, the dress can either be in a bun or if you have shorter hair, beach waves would be cute as well.

Shoes, shoes, oh how I LOVE shoes. I chose a nude pair of t-strap sandals that are under $100 from Nastygal.  You can add them to your every day wardrobe even after your special day. The other choice of shoes is a pair of gold/nude sandals for those ladies having a reception or for those that are just not comfortable in heels. T-strap sandals are not the most comfortable and if you plan on dancing around the simple sandal will give you that comfort.

For makeup I went with my favorite from Mac, Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. While you want to be flawless on your wedding day you also do not want to cake a whole bunch of makeup on your face. With this powder foundation you can apply for the amount of coverage that you want. For me personally I would say its a good medium coverage foundation. An alternative to this if you do not want to pay $27 is BH Cosmetics, BH Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder. Compared to Mac which has 42 shades, BH Cosmetics offers 7. For a thorough review of that product check out one of my favorite YouTubers, WhatWouldLizzyDo.

Moving on to the eyes. I would go for the Urban Decay, Naked 2 Palette as you can get both simple every day looks plus vamp it up with a smoky eye. For this look I think a smoky eye, not heavily smoky, would be great. Below is a tutorial from YouTuber, ThatGirlShaeXO, that I would use.

In addition, you do not have to wear fake eyelashes. With Younique 3D Fiber Lashes, you can get the fullness and length that lashes give.

As for the lips I chose one of my favorite lippies which is Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Fig Jam. They are so moisturizing and who would not want soft smooth lips for the duration of their wedding ceremony. The pigmentation is withstanding and buildable which is a great deal for just $9. It’s definitely one of my favorite lippies that I own. I went for a more neutral lipstick that not only hydrated, but something that wouldn’t stain, well noticeably stain.

This Week In Music (V.9): BBMA x Ciara x The Wests & More

I’m a day late in posting my weekly music recap, BUT let’s get right to it.

Nicki Minaj has released a new track off her upcoming album, The Pink Print, titled ‘Pills and Potions’. The track is a reflection of her career thus far in terms of the people that come and go and her growth as an artist. I really like this one although sometimes I don’t catch on to her music conceptually. I’m still interested in seeing where she’s going with this project since she’s stated in numerous interviews that she’s getting back to the basics.

In other new music, John Mayer has officially released a studio version to his cover of Beyonce’s ‘XO’. It’s a great rendition and I discussed in an edition of Original v. Cover. Take a listen below:

The Billboard Music Awards aired last Sunday and no I did not do a full review, shame on me. I did want to take not of the big winners of the night. As I’ve mentioned before, Jennifer Lopez was honored with the Icon Award, Justin Timberlake was a big winner as he took 7 awards including Top Artist. For the full list of winners click here.

The lineups for the Made In America music festival have been announced. This will be the first year that the festival will be expanding. The shows will be happening simultaneously August 30-31st. Click here for more details and check out the lineups below:

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West officially tied the knot yesterday (5.24.14) in Florence, Italy. Celebs in attendance included: Common, Big Sean, LaLa Anthony, John Legend, Tyga and of course the Kardashian/Jenner gang was there (minus a couple). The dress code was all black minus family and the bride being in white.
