In the past week I’ve been to four Dollar Trees so I guess it’s safe to say I’m addicted. They’re literally everywhere. There’s two within 15 minutes from my house on opposite sides of town. There’s one on my way home from work and by my favorite grocery store. It’s kind of hard not to go in there when everything is $1. Yes, $1. No schemes like the Target One Spot which has upped a lot of their prices to the $3 range, but Dollar Tree is ‘Everything $1.’ Be sure to click the links below
Welcome to yet another haul here on my channel. I’ve been accumulating quite a bit since I’m in the process of redecorating my room and reorganizing my office. Spring just screams DIY for me. The weather is warmer, the sun stays up longer, and I just have more energy. This haul is a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Stay tuned for future posts to see how it all comes together. Check out my previous hauls below:
I went into Dollar Tree to see if I could score more frames with quotes, but I also wanted to see what books were available. After watching all the books that BronzeGoddess01 shared in her hauls, I decided to go hunting again. After searching the shelves, I found two with a combined retail price of nearly $50. To score them for $2 is amazing. The titles are below plus the cheapest if interested.
- Phil Madeira | God on the Rocks: Distilling Religion, Savoring Faith
- Kate White | I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This: Success Secrets Every Gutsy Girl Should Know
I also picked up some planner goodies. In my last haul, I purchased the Jot Brand dots which are perfect for to-dos in any spread. I also picked up the correction tape, which I have yet to try out, plus the mini adhesives tapes. For them to be just $1 they work a hell of a lot better than the pack I purchased from Michaels. Amazing quality and I definitely need to pick up a few more.
I took another trip to yet another Dollar Tree in my area. They’re everywhere now which is great yet bad for my pockets. I was able to find their infamous “washi” tapes. I also picked up a mini tackle box to further organize all the trinkets I have in little baggies and nails for my gallery wall. How fun.
I went to Hobby Lobby since it was close to the initial Dollar Tree I went to. I ended up getting a piece of scrapbook paper to revamp my May divider plus some baseball stickers to mark my nephews games. I’ll have to suck up my dislike of the sport for my little guy.
My favorite find was for my gallery wall that I’m creating in my bedroom. I thought it was a heart, but it’s clearly a diamond. I wanted to use the 40% off coupon they had available and I stumbled across it. It was only $9.99 and with the coupon I ended up paying $6. Now I plan on going back to see if I can find something similar or maybe I’ll try thrifting. Once the wall is done, I’ll definitely share.
$20 can go quite a long way, but I really need to curb my spending. Time to shop my home more.
Until next time …
I have a lot of organizing, well reorganizing, that I would like to do along with some decorating. What better place to shop than Dollar Tree. I went to two different locations that were recently opened. One was laid out better than the other, but had less of a selection. The one that had the most variety was a bit of a mess with a lot of stuff still in boxes, yet I found some great stuff. Be sure to check out my previous haul HERE. I’ll be separating this haul into three different sections: planner, home decor, and organization/cleaning.
I love shopping Dollar Tree for planner goodies and I was not disappointed in this trip. I’d love to find the emoji items, but I’ve had no luck. I absolutely love the JOT brand and I picked up some items I’ve seen on Instagram & YouTube, plus some other goodies. I found some page flags that I saw in a video from CoupontoProvide plus some chevron sticky notes. The best find were the dot stickers that are going to work in just about any layout. I definitely plan on going back to pick up a few more because I’m addicted.
I’m going to be redesigning my bedroom by creating a gallery wall in front of my bed. I absolutely hate the blank space and right now I have a clock and random frames hanging. I found two frames at Dollar Tree that work well with what I’m going for. One says, “Bloom where you are planted,” and the other “Don’t quit your day dream.” Be on the lookout for my finished gallery wall coming soon.
ORGANIZATION / CLEANING
I don’t buy a lot of my cleaning solutions from Dollar Tree, but the supplies are just what I need. I wanted to create an organization system under my bathroom cabinet which has my supplies just sitting there. I purchased two ‘Stack Them Up’ containers which will have cleaning supplies for my toilet in one and my sink/shower in the other. If I have space for a third one then I’ll buy another one, but I knew that two would work in the space.
I also picked up some multi-purpose cleaning wipes to put in my car ($1 from Rite Aid) along with some other towels that I split with my grandmother. One will be going in my car while the others will be going in the bathroom.
Lastly, I picked up some nail stickers. I chose this mint green teal patter over the tribal one and splattered paint that I saw. For just $1, why not? I love the variety that Dollar Tree has and I plan to share more hauls here in the future. for now I also want to shop my house and find uses for what I already have.
I’ve accumulated some amazing finds from Target, Dollar Tree and Five Below over the past few days. All of the items were from 30 cents, yes 30 cents to $5. The items range from gifts to decor and of course, planner goodies.
Target One Spot
I went into Target for deodorant and pads yet I was sidetracked by the One Spot, as usual, and all of the Easter goodies that were on sale. I ended up purchasing what I went in for, but I was there for a lot loner scanning items. From the new Summer line that’s out I purchased a list pad, page flags, and sticky notes. I will say that Target is getting skimpy with the post-its. Yes they come in a pack of 2 for a $1, but it’s only 30 sheets each compared to what used to be 50 sheets each. As for the Easter goodies I scored the plaid pail for $1.50 (originally $5) and the list pads and the sock were 30 cents each from $1.
I haven’t really found much in the Dollar Trees in my area that I have seen online such as the cute sweet treat list pad and sticky note set or any of the emoji list pads / sticky notes. There was a new Dollar Tree that opened in my area and when I walked in I was happy to find some of what I had seen, not the emoji stuff, but the thin washi tape. The store was a mess though. the shelves were in a complete disarray and there were boxes on boxes of stuff everywhere.
I did end up buying Paw Patrol magic towels for my nephews plus a basket to rotate their toys from upstairs to downstairs. For myself I picked up the display eisels, one small and large. The small one will sit on my desk with my business cards and the large one is for my planner. I can always move it to my kitchen as well to hold a cookbook.
My nephews absolutely love Five Below, but I’m really all about shopping in the $1-$3 price range. I will say that Five Below is a great place to find value gifts. I purchased a $5 for my 3 year old nephew. The real deal was a 100 piece Minion art set that had stickers, a coloring book, markers, crayons, stencils, and paints. Awesome deal for $5. The only one I saw of that set was for the Minions, but it’d be great if there were more. As for what’s on trend that was available, there’s Frozen of course plus some Paw Patrol and Finding Dory.
I have an OOTD coming up that will be featuring items from my previous spring hauls. I took advantage of the 5/20 deal and ordered 2 pairs of cropped leggings and 3 crop tops which I can’t wait to style. I did order a white one instead of the fuchsia pink one I received, but I guess it was out of stock. I’ll purchase it elsewhere. Click the links to get to the item.
During Easter weekend I headed over to JCPenny and took advantage of the sale they were having. I knew I wanted a pair of converse, either blue or grey, so with a $10 off $25+ coupon I knew it’d be the perfect time to get them. These were $50, low tops are $45, so i ended up paying $40 for the sneakers which wasn’t a bad deal. I also purchased these with the dress featured in my OOTD #3.
Last but not least I have been eyeing the new palette from Urban Decay. The ‘Electric Pressed Pigment Palette’ is way out of my comfort zone and I won’t go into too much detail as I will be doing a ‘First Impression’ on the palette. Be on the lookout for that. I snagged this on eBay for $42 (+free shipping), regular price $49.
I love incorporating YouTube tags here on my blog and I discovered this one while watching one of my fav YouTubers, BeautyCrush. Here are my 5 key accessories for Spring.
1. Duffle Handbag
This is by far the most used handbag in my collection. It was also featured in my first Fashion Forward Friday series, “What’s In My Bag.” I absolutely love this bag and I can throw anything and everything in it. I love the slouchy look of it, the long strap and shorter shoulder straps and I love using the front zipper to store my keys, phone, and mini vaseline. The inside of the bag is endless and I will say that without smaller bags it can become a complete mess. The color goes great with any outfit I pair it with. I purchased this bag from Old Navy over a year ago and the material/style is similar to the Women’s Zip-Pocket Tote & the Women’s Zip-Flap Crossbodies currently available online.
2. Clutch/Evening Bag
I talked about this bag in my “V-Day Outfits (Day & Night)” post in another installment of Fashion Forward Friday. I cannot afford a Chanel so this is the next best thing. I love that this bag can be worn there ways: clutch, shoulder, and cross-body. The chain strap is what really sold me on this bag.I purchased it from Aldo for under $40 which was a great buy for this bag. The bag is called the “Pilloud-98”. When I’m not carrying my everyday bag this is the bag that I go to for a night out.
3. Jean Jacket
It took me forever to hunt down a jean jacket in my size and I was lucky enough to score one in Forever 21 for under $30. I now have 5 jean jackets in my wardrobe, but this one I wear more than the others. I love my jean jackets whether they are cropped, synched at the waist, or basic such as this. I would love a light wash denim vest for summer. Still on the hunt for that. I love to pair this jacket with leggings/ printed jeggings and it would be great to style with a pair of joggers.
4. Chunky Necklace
I have so many statement pieces in my collection. Stay tuned for an accessory collection/storage post within the next week. My best friend gifted me this Juicy Couture necklace and I love to pair it with any and everything I can. The pop of pink works with a lot of outfits more than I thought it would. I love to pair this with a basic tea, a printed skirt/pant and a pair of flats.
5. Hoop Earrings
This is the easiest thing that I throw on. A lot of people may go for studs, but I love my hoops. These are new from Wet Seal and so glad to have 3 new pairs since I’ve misplaced mine other 2 pairs of silver ones form H&M & Forever 21. It’s so effortless to throw these on and majority of the time it’s the only jewelry I wear.
