I love bags. Then again I love planners. I also LOVE the Steelers. I have of love to go around. I shared my Declutter 101: Handbags & Accessories and I wanted to share a closer look at my handbag collection. A lot of the bags that I decided to keep are not only staples that will last me for, but a few are designer as well. Take a look at my beauties below:
All the bags that I decided to keep are bags that I interchange frequently. Usually when I use a bag I’ll use it for a few months before switching to another. The Victoria Secret’s bags each have a different purpose. The larger black one I love to throw everything into. You need days like those. The Pink one is for the beach (Nicki Minaj voice), and the black and pink one I use for a variety of things.
I could never have enough black bags. Each one has a different purpose. There’s my quilted one which is my go to for a night out. Then there’s my drawstring bucket bagthat I love, but I don’t wear as much simply because it doesn’t fit my planner. It’s become more of a weekend bag for running errands.
Lastly, my designer bags. The Louis Vuitton and Coach bags were my moms and I could never give those away. I wear the Coach one more frequently opposed to the Louis Vuitton one. When it comes to designer bags that I would like to add to my collection I would like the Michael Kors ‘Selma’ in black and yellow and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM in the Monogram print. Other than that I’m pretty happy with my bags. You do not have to spend a lot of money on a purse and yes, I wear all of my bags. No sense in keeping everything pretty. Use what you have.
My handbags and accessories are an area, similar to my pantry, that I’ve hesitated to declutter. I’ve had no problem getting rid of things in my closet, but when it coms to my handbags especially, it’s difficult. A lot of my jewelry from Forever 21, H&M, etc., has been accumulated over the years, but I don’t really wear it. The main purpose of this declutter was to keep what I absolutely loved, donate what I didn’t use, and to toss any broken jewelry that I had hoarded.
In this edition, as stated in the title, I wanted to showcase my sandal collection. Now the thing about sandals is that I wear the hell out of them in the Summer. I buy some that are on trend, but some I’ve had for years and other than the inside sole having wear and tear, the sandals are still in great condition. As for sandals I still want to purchase, I want a pair of gladiators that come to about the knee and a pair of cognac sandals. I never realized just how much I love the cognac color.
As for how I store my sandals, being that I only bring them out in late Spring I store them in a bin. Nothing fancy. I do keep the sandals that I frequently wear on top and eventually they end up straggled around my room. When it comes to comfortability, I would say majority of them are comfortable.
The one that irks me the most are the ones from Forever 21, which you can see below. the sole is not a soft bottom and makes a click clack sound similar to a heel. It’s also very slippery so I don’t wear them often. I had a black pair that I absolutely loved, but they ended up breaking, so I was lucky to find a similar style at Old Navy which I featured in a haul (click HERE for that).
My favorite pairs would have to be the ones I purchased from Easy Pickins, Traffic, and the flip flops from Target. The ones from Easy Pickins have a tassel that’s still not trend and I purchased them 3 years ago. The ones from Traffic are so beautiful and I get compliments every time I wear them. The flip flops from Target have the most wear and tear on the inside sole, which is to be expected since I’ve worn them like no tomorrow. They were the best impulse buy and I purchased them about 3 or 4 years ago after watching an Akaydoll video. I typically don’t like to spend over $25 on a pair of sandals simply because there are so many variations and I don’t wear them year round like other shoes. The ones that I purchased from Traffic were the most expensive, nearly $40, but I expected that due to the design of them.

There’s not much that I need in my wardrobe, but there are pieces that I’ve added just for the season. I don’t expect these to last forever, but they were affordable so I picked up a few items. Check out my Spring Hauls from last year below:
As for this year, I took advantage of the Memorial Day Weekend sales and I’m happy with what I’ve picked up. Last year I shopped just to shop, but this year I was more particular on basics that I actually did need and a few extras. Click the links below to for similar items to what I’ve purchased.
I picked up this amazing dress from Target a few weeks ago which is a part of the _ collection. I love to wear shorts in the summer, but a dress is a complete, instant, and effortless look. Especially if it’s printed you can keep jewelry minimal, if you choose, grab a purse, and be on your way.I generally wouldn’t pa $29.99 for a dress, but after trying it on, I couldn’t pass it up. I’ll be going on vacation at the end of July and this dress is definitely coming with me. To purchase similar styles click HERE.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!! Today is a really gloomy day in the tri-state so my outfit matched the weather outside. I still love the beauty of snow. I don’t have major plans for today so I spent it hanging out with my sisters. My outfit is super simple and features items I have hauled here on the blog before. Outfit details under the pic. Plus check out my V-Day Playlist below with a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
Happy Friday! It’s crazy that there’s only about two and half months left in 2014. While scrolling through Instagram, I came across a post that said today, October 10th, is National Handbag Day. What better way to celebrate the day than with showing off my three of my most used handbags.
In my handbag collection I have downsized a lot and some are high end and a lot are low end. In purchasing bags now I like to add pops of color, but I also focus on the structure to see just how durable it will be. Despite all the handbags I have the three above are the ones I interchange the most. During college I had no interest in smaller bags, but being on the go on a daily basis I use them constantly. If I ever need anything more, I’ll just toss it into one of my bigger purses.
