Just when I thought the video for ‘7/11’ was AMAZING, Nicki Minaj drops her video to her smash ‘Feeling Myself’ alongside Beyoncé this past Monday (5/18). The videos was released exclusively on Tidal, but of course the full length has surfaced elsewhere for non Tidal subscribers, like myself, to view.
A new remix has surfaced from Beyoncé, this time she’s teaming up with Chris Brown. They’ve remixed ‘Jealous’ and it’s not one of my favorites from her self-titled album. Interestingly enough Chris says the track was supposed to be featured on the re-release, but didn’t make the cut. The remixes to ‘Flawless,’ ‘Blow,’ and ‘Drunk In Love’ did. The remix doesn’t really do anything for me. Sometime a remix can make you fall in love with a song or fall even more in love if you weren’t already. Maybe that’s why it didn’t make the cut, but fans get to her Breezy and Queen Bey on a track, right?
Anyway, take a listen to the track below:
Beyoncé has captured me, and all of social media, with the release of her video ‘7/11’ last night (11/21). I had heard a snippet of the song earlier in the week and I was like eh, it’s alright. This is why videos need to never go away because THIS video MADE the song for me.
Beyoncé is no stranger to acting silly and this song is even more turnt with her showing that side of herself. This low budget video is really EVERYTHING! She starts with dancing not he balcony in undies & a sweatshirt. Throughout the whole video she really is dancing here and there in her underwear. I mean who doesn’tt do that?
Sidebar- If you’re saying you don’t go around your house dancing in your underwear, you’re probably lying,
Back to the video. It’s hard to explain because words do not do justice to all the energy in this video. She’s doing what everyone does on the regular when their favorite song comes on. Or, if you made up some random song with your friends and you jam out to it whenever you can. That’s the vibe I get from this video. This is not to be a deep song and it shows that Beyonce can have fun too and not all her songs have to be serious.
I don’t see her as degrading herself, ruining her career, or setting a bad example as a mother. Just because she is a mom does not mean she has to turn off her fun button. She’s not endangering her child so twerking around is not the end of the world. Yes in one scene there is Blue Ivy on the bed, but with the reversal of the editing she had jumped off the bed and not jumped on the bed with Blue on it. Speaking of that scene. Props to the hotel room not being tidy for the video. Yes, celebrities are HUMAN. They throw their clothes everywhere too.
I love when her friends join in and get just as crunk as she is. This song is on HEAVY rotation and will be on the re-release of her self-titled albums which drops monday, 11/24. READ HERE for full details on that. Expect to hear this on urban radio soon. I’m still trying to figure out if that was Jay running by at the end of the video.
Cheers to what ever else Queen Bey has in store for 2015. Keep spinning while your hands up & don’t you drop that alcohol.

So Nicki Minaj has finally teamed up with Beyonce and here’s what she spit that Lil’ Kim too OFFENSE to (insert side eye emoji).
These bitches washed up and ain’t no fuckin’ soap involved, uh/This every hood nigga dream, fantasizing about Nicki and B/Curvalicious, pussy served delicious
Mayday mayday, earth to bitches/Slap these hoes on they ass like we birthing bitches, uh/The queen of rap, slayin’ with Queen B
The “Remix Reloaded” is the ENTIRE remix except at the end of Nicki’s bars Lil Kim jumps on sounding extemely bitter. She did have bars though.
Am I trippin’ or did this ho just say my name? / Queen of rap, fuck outta here / Queen’s back, fuck outta here / Time to get this rap bitch up outta here/I woke up like this, fuck outta here/I’m so awesome, I’m so fuckin’ awesome/These hoes wanna be me cause they know Kimmy, she flawless
I gave you the rope, bitch, I want you to hang
Is Lil Kim really back, I doubt that. Queen’s back? Okay. Hey, we’re all adults, let’s pick fights to get back in the limelight. Right?
At this current moment Nicki Minaj is the QUEEN of rap. In Lil’ Kim’s day she felt that way too. I don’t say ‘day’ to date her, but Lil’ Kim hasn’t been relevant musically in my eyes since ‘The Jump Off’, but she did have ‘Lighters Up’ so that counts to. Then again, that was nearly a decade ago. I really think she’s too into her feelings and she just won’t let the “beef” with Nicki Minaj go. Nicki Minaj has NO COMPETITION right now and she hasn’t in years. Beyonce says she’s Queen Bey all the time, does that mean all the legends before her in the R&B/Pop world have to pick a fight with her? I don’t see Mary J. Blige coming for Beyonce. Mary J. has been dubbed the Queen of Hip-Hop/R&B so why not attack Beyonce for calling her self Queen? Simple, she knows her lane. Knowing your lane is no disrespect, but the artist is not attacking you and naming you so move on. Lil Kim has made a name for herself sometimes more negatively than positively, but this “remix” is so beneath her and so petty it’s ridiculous. The imagination has run wild.
The blogs are really hyping this one up. Seriously Lil’ Kim, sit down. This was not needed nor was it wanted if you were going to do all this for no reason. Petty, so damn petty. Giving credit where credit is DUE, Kim still has bars this just wasn’t it for me.
As for that artwork, just stop it. It’s not like this was a staged remix. If Bey wanted Kim on the track she would’ve called her. She didn’t so, yeah.
In the meantime, who won the battle? Nicki or Kim? lol.
I guess this is the closet fans will get to Nicki & Kim being on a track. Take a listen below:
