Plan With Me | April 11th-17th | 15 Minute challenge

I decided to challenge myself and see if I could put together a layout in 15 minutes. I decided to use stickers left over from Sticky Essentials and JuJuAllOver plus some Minion stickers. I wanted to do a minion theme, but I don’t care too much for the quality of the printable I had. So I went and used what I had left over from the Sticky Essentials March kit, checklists from JuJuAllOver, and the minion stickers.

I’m a stickler for straight stickers and I will keep pulling them up and moving them around if they’re not straight. Yes, I hate seeing layouts that have crooked stickers, especially headers. Power to those that don’t care, but I sure as hell do.

I was able to get a lot done in the 15 minute mark I made for myself.I laid down the headers and checklists, weekend banner, blog posts, plus my sidebar. After the 15 minutes I had to go in and add for my TV shows for the week plus some minion stickers here and there. The layout is very bare, but I fill in quite a bit during the week.

To mark my TV shows, I was debating on whether to use TV stickers or not. I decided to use the mini Minion stickers that I had and they worked just fine. It also works out since I don’t have a lot of shows this week. For some reason they’re on hiatus (womp womp).

My sidebar layout is pretty staple with my homework to do list and my DIY workout and social media habit trackers. For the weeks I don’t have homework, especially since I’m done with grad school in August, I’ll put a master to do list for the week.

As noted, this layout is very bare, but it’ll fill up throughout the week. Aside from writing things in I’ll probably add a few more stickers. Links to stickers are below:

Project Pre-K: Happy ThanksMINION

As I mentioned in my initial “Project Pre-K,” I would be sharing projects that I create with the children at my job along with my nephews here and there. My job officially has a hallway filled with FALL FESTIVITY. There’s a tree with family pictures. Each child was given a leaf to decorate and include a picture of they’re family. It turned out super cute so that’s a project in itself. Then there’s a turkey with feathers with the feathers stating what each child is thankful for. For 3 and 4 year olds the answers are very interesting. Then there’s the scarecrows and turkeys from Pinterest, then there’s my windows.

This has to be one of the smallest Black Friday shopping trips ever. Last year I purchased 15 movies for under $30 and this year I knew I had to make a stop at Walmart to see what other movies I could score. I did’t want to spend much as I am trying to put more in the bank instead of our the bank. I ended up with four movies: Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse plus Despicable Me for all under $10. I ended up heading over to F.Y.E to see if I could find the rest of the Twilight series, but I ended up getting Fast 6 for $7. Another collection complete. I headed over to Five Below and saw a cute iPad case for $3, originally $5. Only thing I hate bout the animal cases is that they are really never sized to the iPad. They’re typically too big.

Last stop I made was to the mall. H&M didn’t have anything I wanted and I would’ve stopped in Old Navy (50% off entire store), but I would’ve ended up buying more than necessary. Wet Seal had a Buy 1/Get 1 Free sale and I purchased a pair of boots for $40 and got the plaid shirt free. Expect a future OOTD with those items. I stopped in Charlotte Russe as well which had a buy 1/get 1 for $1 on heels and boots, but of course none would be in my size. They had a better selection that Wet Seal. Anywho, I didn’t break the bank and ended up spending /a little over $50. Not too shabby. Check out my pic below & be sure to follow me on Instagram @MusicMovingForward. HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEKEND!

Fashion Forward Friday [V.9] — Spring Haul (Pt. 2)

Welcome to another edition of FASHION FORWARD FRIDAY! This week is yet another spring haul. I only have a couple more left in this mini-series. I took yet another shopping trip not really looking for anything, but I came out with a few goodies. I stopped at H&MWet Seal, and Hot Topic,

In my previous FFF I stopped at H&M and I picked up a pair of flats. Yet again I wasn’t looking for anything in particular. I did see that they had leggings 2 for $10 and since they are regularly $9.95 I took advantage of the deal. I wish they had cropped ones, but the ankle-length was fine. Click here to purchase the Jersey Leggings. On top of that I got a coupon for $5 off my next purchase. Glad I didn’t toss the bag as soon as I got home.

Next up I headed to Hot Topic out of curiosity and everything in the store was Buy 1, Get 1 50% off so I headed straight to the t-shirts. I came across a few music ones that I wanted, but I decided on the Minion tee for myself and the Bob Marley one for my boyfriend.

Total came out to $30.75 + $15 Hot Cash that I can use at the end of April to the middle of May on a purchase of $30 or more. I have a couple t-shirts I want so I’ll be going back for those.

Here’s the links to the shirts:

I couldn’t find the exact Bob Marley shirt, but click here to see what other Marley designs are offered.

Lastly I went in Wet Seal to see they were having a MAJOR sale. The sale included buy 1 shirt, get 1 for $5. All hair accessories buy 1, get 1 50% off, all jewelry 50% off, and on certain items an additional 60% would be taken off. To go with my Minion t-shirt from Hot Topic, I got a ‘Happy’ chain for $4.75 and the earrings were $3.75 a regular $7.50 for the set. I also picked up a few headbands. The daisy one for, $4.24, and the double headband set for $3.75 with the buy 1 get 1 50% off deal.

There’s an outfit planned with the Happy chain & Minion shirt so stay tuned for that. Here’s the links I found to some of the items I purchased.

I went home and purchased a couple more items from Wet Seal so stay tuned for those in my Spring Haul Pt. 3. If you missed out on Pt. 1, click here.

Pharrell Tops Hot 100

For the first time in his solo career, Pharrell has reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with his infectious track, ‘Happy.’ The song surpasses Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse.’ He becomes the second African American artist to top the Hot 100 since Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ in 2012.

This is Pharrell’s first time topping the Hot 100 as a solo artist, but he’s been at the top before with his features on ‘Blurred Lines’ (Robin Thicke), ‘Money Maker’ (Ludacris), and ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ (Snoop Dogg). He’s also co-produced two #1 tracks: ‘Hot In Herre’ (Nelly) and ‘Hollaback Girl’ (Gwen Stefani).

This is not Pharrell’s first time in the Hot 100 as a solo artist. His track, ‘Number One,’ reached #57 in 2006.
