Firmoo Glasses Review, Style #S929

Cue the music! It’s holiday season… Well, I’ll spare you the virtual sing-a-long. For blogmas day 6, I have another review to share with you all. I only share products that I’ve used and trust. A deal for me is worth sharing. As someone who wears glasses on a daily basis, I’m more than happy to share my newest pair of Firmoo glasses.

Disclaimer: These glasses were sent to me for review for the purpose of this series. All opinions are my own.

The first pair of Firmoo glasses I received was last Summer. Although I had been wearing glasses since the 6th grade, I only had 3 pairs of glasses within that time. I’ll never forget my first pair. My mom bought them from Lens Crafters and they were the Converse Brand. I didn’t get another pair until my Senior year. Granted I was only wearing the glasses when I needed them. The Converse glasses had fallen a part and my dad let me pick another designer pair. This time I went with Coach. The frame was wire and the lens pretty narrow. In college, I ended up with a free pair courtesy of my insurance company that my eye doctor picked. They were also transitional, bonus, but let’s just say my family wasn’t a fan of the style.

Now that we’ve strolled down memory lane, thanks for bearing with me, I was excited when Firmoo reached out to me. I knew that I would need an eye exam as I hadn’t had one in years. I also knew that I wanted a more modern style with a larger lens. I got my eye exam at Target, under $100 if you don’t have vision insurance. Then I uploaded my prescription directly to the Firmoo website and began browsing. Firmoo gives you the option to enter the prescription or upload it. I chose the latter.

I used Firmoo’s filter to find the perfect style. The eyeglasses section of the site is divided into the following categories:

  • Material
  • Frame
  • Width
  • Shape
  • Style

There is also a feature that allows you to upload your photo and try on the glasses. This is common for many sites that sell glasses. It’s all about making the shopping experience seamless. I would recommend uploading a picture of you sitting straight up, facing forward to get the best depiction of how the frames will look upon receiving them.

My initial pair was black frame that transitioned into a clear base. I loved the style and was happy to find that there was another design available. When a frame fits, it fits. In receiving my second pair, I accidentally sat on them breaking them, but Firmoo sent me a new pair free of charge within a couple days. All I did was email them a picture of my damaged glasses. Their customer service representatives respond quickly and always look to find a solution instead of giving you the run around.

Last but not least, let’s talk packaging. No it’s nothing fancy. I do appreciate that it comes in a dust bag, in a hard case, with screws to tighten and a cloth to clean. The first pair I received were in a hard brown case with a world map print. The second pair was in a clear plastic case, which I prefer.

Firmoo is currently offering a BOGO deal with styles as low as $19. For more information, click here. Interested in the style that I purchased, check out #S929 here. It’s available in black, tortoise and black, clear.
