There’s not many artists that I get excited to see, but please believe Queen Bey is one of them. What better time to reminisce on her amazingly spectacular performance than now, weekend two of Coachella. Well, for people like me, NOCHELLA.
Yes, I am that person that had to run to my blog to share my excitement of Beyoncé being pregnant with not ONE, but TWO babies! QUEEN BEY IS HAVING TWINS! Now, if you’re not a loyal member of the Bey Hive than something like this would just be, “oh, another celebrity pregnancy.” BUT THIS IS BEYONCÉ!
The Pepsi Halftime is officially over. Well it’s been over for a while and at this current moment the Degnver defense is running the field. It’s now a blowout game, but it could quickly escalate into one if the Panthers do not score in the 3rd quarter and they lose focus. So many teams have lost it simply by letting their emotions get the best of them. Anything could happen. It’s not over till it’s over.
I was pondering whether or not to write about Beyoncè‘s latest single ‘Formation.’ It’s all over Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, etc. It’s everywhere. I mean, it’s BEYONCÈ (Oprah voice). No this isn’t a video review. While the visual was dope, I wanted to focus more so on the lyrics.
The 2015 MTV VMAs aired last night, ,and in case you missed it there were plenty of hashtags on Instagram to keep you up to speed. Congrats to all the winners including:
- Best Female Video / Pop Video / Collaboration: Taylor Swift, ‘Bad Blood’
- Best Male Video: Mark Ronson x Bruno Mars, ‘Uptown Funk’
- Best Hip-Hop Video: Nicki Minaj, ‘Anaconda’
- Artist to Watch: Fetty Wap, ‘Trap Queen’
- Best Editing: Beyoncé, ‘7/11’
Last year Queen Bey set the stage on fire with a medley of her self-titled album as she was honored with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. The year before Justin Timberlake performed a medley of his hits and even reunited with his NSync bandmates as he was honored. This year at the 2015 VMAs, Kanye West will be honored with the award.
Another award show has come and gone and as much as I convinced myself that I wouldn’t be watching this years BET Awards, I ended up watching. The show was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson with a whole bunch of fluff and mediocre performances in between.
I won’t touch base on every performance, but let’s get into my favorites.
It’s that time of year again or the BET Awards. I remember when I was in middle school I would be excited to watch the show. Now it’s just gotten to be too generic, the winners are too predictable and there’s nothing really special about the performances. It’s amazing that the show has lasted 14 years. Maybe next year they’ll do something special for the 15th annual. Check out my 2014 performance review here.

Just when I thought the video for ‘7/11’ was AMAZING, Nicki Minaj drops her video to her smash ‘Feeling Myself’ alongside Beyoncé this past Monday (5/18). The videos was released exclusively on Tidal, but of course the full length has surfaced elsewhere for non Tidal subscribers, like myself, to view.
