Back at it with another post on the blog. This past week has been life changing (which I’ll touch on at another time). I’ve been shopping quite a bit over the last few weeks and so it’s time for a haul. I love clearance racks and finding deals and I don’t see the harm in sharing what I find.

Kohl’s Finds
Kohl’s is one of my favorite places to shop whether it be for activewear or work. I went shopping on the 4th of July so there was a sale throughout the store. Brands that they have within Kohl’s include Sonoma, Vera Wang, Jennifer Lopez, Rock & Republic, and Lauren Conrad. Still, my go to spot is the clearance racks where items are anywhere from 50%-80% off. Yes, you have to do a little fishing, but the deals are always worth it.
I went shopping specifically for work clothes. I’ve been switching up my wardrobe as of late and doing a major purge to my closet. If I haven’t worn it in a year, out it goes. If I’m questioning how to style it, so long, farewell. For this shopping trip, I was looking to see what dresses I could find and I got pretty lucky. One was a swing dress. The other was a flowy black and white dress. I also found this super cute floral romper that has a high low style to it because of the shorts. Even when I thought I was done snooping through the racks, I stumbled across a black and white shirt that I can easily style all year round. All amazing deals for under $100. You can’t beat that.
For this particular shopping trip, for every $50 spent, you’d get $10 Kohl’s Cash. Between my grandmother and I, our total was a little over $100 so we got $20 Kohl’s Cash plus an additional 15% off. I went back the following week and the clearance racks were lackluster, so I headed to the shoe section. I scored a pair of peep toe, taupe heels that were regularly $75, marked down to $30. With the Kohl’s cash and 15% off, I only paid $8.50.
Charlotte Russe Finds
My bestie is getting married in less than 2 weeks and I’ve secured my outfit for the bridal brunch as well as the wedding. Yay, I’m maid of honor (we’ll get into wedding finds in another post). I needed shoes, COMFORTABLE shoes. I headed to the mall with my sister and she suggested Charlotte Russe. They were having a sale, buy one/get one for $5. I first tried on this gorgeous black and gold pair. The heel was a metallic gold and it looked amazing on my foot, but the size 10 was too big and the size 9 was too small. Of course there were no half sizes, so I had to find another option.
I found a simple black pair of ankle strap heels that were comfy due to the chunky heel. These would replace a pair I bought from JustFab a few years ago. Since I could get a pair for $5, I mean why not. My sister picked out a peep toe pair. Again, the chunky heel makes it more durable to walk in. Grand total, two pairs of shoes for a little over $40. Not too shabby. I’m not a heel girl, but I wouldn’t mind strutting in these when need be as they don’t kill my feet.
I’m not a fashionista in any way shape of form and what I buy isn’t for everyone, but it works for me. That’s all that matters, right?
