Hobby Lobby Clearance Haul | Over $50 in Savings

Back at it with yet another haul. We’re 4 days into January and there’s so much that I want to share with you all so expect a little bit of this and a little bit of that. This post is another Hobby Lobby clearance haul with a full price breakdown. Goal for February? Slow the hell down on spending and get more crafting done. In the meantime, let’s get into this haul.

As always, be sure to click the links throughout this post for related posts and links to purchase items/similar styles featured.

Unlike the first time I went to Hobby Lobby a week or so ago, these items were in the aisles, not the clearance sections. In fact, the clearance sections were pretty sparse. After getting myself together after seeing yellow tags on yellow tags, I focused on the planner-type aisles. I didn’t spend too much time looking at the stickers. I did spend quite a bit of time looking at Happy Planner products and inserts. To be honest, I followed a sales associate as she was marking things down. First dibs, right?

Alright, let’s get into the price breakdown, what I purchased, and why I purchased (because there is a reason to my planner addiction).

Snapshot Price Breakdown

  • Items Purchased: 12
  • Clearance Total: $17.50
  • Regular Price Total: $70.88
  • Total Savings: $53.38

Scrapbook

I came across a clearance haul from CraftPurge on YouTube and she showed this gorgeous Websters Pages ‘Love Story’ scrapbook pad. I love that it’s double sided. The 24 piece paper pad has 3 of each sheet which adds to the versatility of how you can use it. I plan on putting mine directly on my planner pages or using as tip ins.

  • Regular Price: $ 6.99
  • Clearance Price: $1.75
  • Total Savings: $5.24

One of my favorite scrapbook prints from Hobby Lobby is their black and white polka dot by Paper Studio. I have been hoarding the sheets that I have. When you can catch them on the 50% off, great. I found the print in a paper roll. Now, I don’t have to cut down my 12 x 12 papers. I can save those as the foundation for future planner dashboards in my travelers notebook. I’ll be using this roll primarily in my planner. It’s not adhesive so my double stick tape/glue will suffice. It’ll also be great for layering in other dashboards I create.

  • Regular Price: $3.99
  • Clearance Price: $1.00
  • Total Savings: $2.99

Inserts

My daily planner is a lined notebook in a B6 traveler’s notebook. I use discbound systems for both my Home Management Binder and work notebook. So why would I need inserts? Inserts designed for a ring bound planner to be exact.

Well, I found a DCWV fitness tracker that I knew I could re-purpose in my work planner for social media. I found a Heidi Swapp one as well. The family schedule I’ll use for social media. The other two sheets were goals which I can use as a project sheet. The other was a ‘Bucket List’ which I can modify and use as a running project to do list. I do not cut off the ring holes. I simply put them into my Levenger hole punch and voila, problem solved.

Carpe Diem

I found a pack of dashboard and pocket cards. My reason purchase? The pocket card that said ‘Like a Boss.’ That simple. I’ll be using these throughout my planner primarily as tip-ins although they will work for layering as well. I also picked up 2 planner decals. I’m not sure what I’ll be using these for just yet. I don’t have a planner cover to put them on. I could use them for a dashboard or in a pocket in one of my discbound systems.

Me & My Big Ideas

Moving on to the grand finale. I was happy to find all the items that I did at such a great price point. I saw someone on Instagram share adhesive patches and I had never seen them in stores before. I randomly was browsing the clearance section and there they were right on top. Going into the aisle where the Happy Planner items were, basically everything was on clearance minus the sticker books. I found this sticky note pack for the classic Happy Planner. It could work in the Big size as well. If you don’t have a happy planner, make a dashboard of your own.

The best deal of all and the most expensive item out of this entire haul was a value sticker pack. These go for $20 a piece and I would never pay that price. Michaels usually has them 30% and often times you can score them with a 50% or 60% off coupon. Hobby Lobby has their 40% off one regular priced item all the time. I’ve never seen them for $5 and when I was first in the aisle they weren’t there. After going back one more time before I left the store, there was only one sticker pack on sale. I couldn’t leave it behind.
