It’s Blogmas Day 13. IT’S BLOGMAS DAY 13! Cheers to another post and hey there hey to everyone that has been keeping up or just checking in. I needed to clean my room and add a little pizazz for Christmas. First step to a clean room, making the bed! Welp, enough rambling, let’s get to it.

Although my living room tree has been up since Thanksgiving Eve, the tree I put in my bedroom is still in the box. I’m honestly not sure if I’m going to put it up at this point. By the time I get around to it, it’ll be the weekend. I ordered a new comforter for my bed from Kohl’s during Black Friday and I have flannel sheets that somewhat match it, so let’s go with it. I’m not the fanciest bed maker and my comforter could have been ironed to be picture perfect, but there’s nothing like snuggling into freshly washed sheets.
Is buffalo plaid really just for Christmas? I think it can work year round and I plan to keep it on longer than just December, probably all winter. I do love that the reversible comforter is a dark grey which will compliment other sheet sets that I have. Maybe my plaid sheets aren’t that creative when it comes to Christmas, but it’s festive enough. Plus, let’s not ignore my Steelers neck pillow front and center.
I’ve decorated both my office and bedroom before for Christmas, but this year I just haven’t gotten around to it. I haven’t made the time. I haven’t been feeling it to be honest. There’s still time left and it won’t take me that long to add a touch of Christmas to my bedroom.
Who wouldn’t want to wake up and the first thing they see is a Christmas movie. Christmas for me just isn’t about the gifts anymore. Don’t get me wrong, gifts are great. To some extent, everyone loves materialistic things. These past few years just haven’t been the same. Of course I miss my mom. Christmas hasn’t been the same without her for nearly a decade now. It’s crazy to believe it’s been 10 years. Still, decorating for Christmas brings that Christmas spirit to my life that I desperately need.
Aside from my bed I need to kick my butt in gear and decorate my nightstand. Christmas is not that far away, but I don’t have to take the tree down the day after. I can leave it up as long as I want to really get the most out of it. Dollar Tree has perfect sized trees for nightstands (perfect for kids rooms), but if you’re looking for something more, try Target. I purchased mine from Target years ago for $7 and it’s been holding up with no problem. it’s easy to assemble, easy to store away and takes minutes to decorate.
If you don’t plan on buying any more Christmas decorations now and plan to wait until after, hit up the clearance sections starting December 26th.
