I’m a sucker for clearance finds and it’s that time of year when I add a few new additions to my wardrobe. Fall is officially here! Then again, we have a heatwave coming in my area so not so much just yet. Anywho, I was amazing to find some amazing pieces at Kohl’s in the clearance section all for around $50.

For every item that I purchase, I donate something. I go through my wardrobe regularly, only keeping pieces that I truly love. All of my clothing is donated to my church’s clothes closet. I know that I can always find a deal at Kohl’s and I don’t necessarily have a budget or a game plan. If I see something that I like I buy it. I always make sure that it’s something I can wear to work as well. The more ways I can style it, the better.
I had a 15% off my purchase coupon plus a $5 Yes Rewards. With the $50, I purchased:
- SO Comment Women’s Loafers – $19.99
- regular $29.99 (35% off); savings: $10
- Madden NYC Aggiee Women’s Loafer Mules – $14.95
- regular $40 (65% off); savings: $25
- Chaps Polka-Dot Chambray Shirt – $9
- regular $60 (85% off); savings: $51
I really love the look of black loafers and the slide-on’s, mules, however you call them are super cute. They’re perfect for fall and comfortable enough for me to wear to work. My grandmother found the faux suede pair and I lucked up with the black patent leather. Both are classic designs that would look great with skinny jeans. Well, that’s how I plan to style them.
Finding the chambray shirt was a score for me as I have a Ralph Lauren Sport long-sleeve denim button-up in my donate pile. I found it at a thrift store for a great deal and that’s why I purchased it. It didn’t fit right then and it doesn’t fit right now, so it’s time for a new home. This new shirt has that denim feel that I like, the design with the polka- dot’s, and it’s short sleeved. I’m still deciding on how I want to style it, but it would work with skinny jeans, the exact color light blue or khakis.
The most comfortable and cheapest find was a short sleeve sweat shirt from the Sonoma line. It is so soft and in the store it’s considered sleepwear. I wish I would’ve found it in more colors because it’s just that comfortable. They only had a size XXL, but I don’t like my clothing super fitted, especially not my sweatshirts. I love the versatility of this sweatshirt as I can dress it up or down. My favorite feature? The pockets! Oh, and I only paid $3 for it.
Kohl’s has always been a store that is a hit and miss for me, but lately I’ve been finding amazing pieces. I will say, if you see something you like on clearance, snag it while you can. I think back to a burnt orange button-up/jacket that I saw from a distance on a clearance rack at Kohl’s that I didn’t buy. I haven’t seen it since. It would’ve been perfect for fall, but as for the pieces I have purchased, I can’t wait to style them.
I am not a fashionista in any way, shape, or form. This is not a fashion blog either, but I love to share what I do find as my style evolves!
