Cheers to another blog post. This post is my official Valentine’s week spread. I don’t make a plan with me every single week, but for a special occasion like this plus I have a busy week, it’s worth documenting. I decided to stick to a sticker sheet that I found at Hobby Lobby and pull in other tid bits here and there. I don’t have a Valentine’s Etsy kit to use this time around so this will do.

I wanted to stick strictly to the sticker set from Hobby Lobby and I was able to do just that. When planning with larger stickers, it can be tricky. Some may completely stray away as they don’t see the functionality in it, but I’ve been able to work the stickers in, still have function, plus the white space style that I love.
To start planning this week I took the ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ stickers and started with those. I see some stickers as anchors such as banners and holiday stickers. In other words, the prominent stickers. I popped the ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ in the middle of Tuesday and the ‘Sweet’ banner on the second half of the week. I was going to frame it towards the weekend, but it looked better in the middle. I pulled in ‘love’ as I instantly thought of the Anita Baker’s song ‘Sweet Love,’ and there was a ‘hey’ sticker that I wouldn’t use anywhere else so voila. (Super long sticker explanation, I know.)
My sidebar is a work in progress as I’m still not sure what I want to put there. I may just end up filling it up with stickers, but I’m not sure. Monday was my only day off this week and I’ll be busy over the weekend so I made a to do list that filled the entire 3 boxes. A list like that I’d usually put that in the sidebar, but since my goal was to get most done on Monday, that’s where it went. Whatever didn’t get down on that list, I’ll write it in on the day that I get it done. As for what else I filled in I had to write in my TV shows.
Planner Tip: If you want a planner, but don’t see a use for one, think of the memories that you could track. Whether you journal your highlight of the day, what you ate, your TV shows, play around.
To add a pop of color to the spread, I used my Paper Mate Flair pen in purple to shade the items on my list that I got done. I also played around with my handwriting. It’s not as great as it was the previous week I tried it out because my pen, Uniball Signo, was giving me problems.
I like how the ‘skeleton’ of my week turned out. For those reading that have no idea what I mean by that, the ‘skeleton’ are the basics. If someone were using a planner kit they’d lay down the stickers than fill in. Since I’m a ‘white space’ planner, laying down basic stickers that still leave space for function, works for me.
Planner Tip: Arrows are your FRIEND! Whether you have arrow stickers or just write one in yourself, it saves you the hassle of having to write what you wrote on a previous day over again.
