Planner Haul | Target, Hobby Lobby, & Dollar Tree

Welcome to another post here on the blog. I’ve been pretty good at curbing my shopping habits especially with all the goodies that flood my Instagram and Facebook feeds, but every now and then I treat myself. I will say that I am very particular in what I buy. There has to be sale and if I’m not in love with it, I don’t buy it.

As always be sure to click the highlighted links throughout this post for related posts and links to purchase items/similar styles featured.

My first stop was Dollar Tree. I was looking for the self-laminating sheets after I was told on Instagram that they were no longer being sold. I didn’t come out with any self-laminating sheets, although I’ll be checking out a few more location, but I did find two list pads and a washi tape. The list pads are not new to Dollar Tree, but I hadn’t seen them at the location that I frequently go to. With my new position at work, these will be perfect for my desk. As for the one random washi tape that I picked up, it was the only one that caught my eye and I don’t have one like it. Other than that, the Dollar Trees that I’ve been going to have been a flop.  Nothing has caught my eye. Want to check out more of my Dollar Tree favorites? Click HERE.

dttarget-2Moving on to Target, the Dollar Spot is long gone and Bullseye’s Playground has items ranging from $3-$5. I mean, they’ve rebranded that section a while ago, but as time goes on the $1 items are starting t be more limited and the prices are primarily in the $3 range The non-Bullseye’s Playground items I purchased were my favorite pens, the Uniball Signo gel pens. Out of all the pens I’ve tried in my planner, this is by far my favorite. I also like the Sharpie Fine Points (they bleed through) plus the Sharpie Pens. For every day use, definitely my Uniball.

Over in Bullseye’s Playground there were a lot of cute items, but I wasn’t in love with everything and I just have a problem eith the $3 range. Not that the items weren’t worth the price, there was just nothing that I wanted. I did see some super cute stickers that I picked up plus a calendar for my desk at work and the calendar sticky notes that I’ve seen all over Instagram. These sticky notes will be great for any planner you may be using or even in an office space. 80 just for $1, that’s a steal.

Moving on to Hobby Lobby, this trip was pretty disappointing as their clearance section was pretty bland. My first stop in Hobby Lobby is the clearance section and then I like to check out the Paper Studio stickers. Those are usually 50% off from time to time now they’ve switched up and made it 40% off. I hope that’s not a permanent change.

From the clearance section I found 3 scrapbook paperer sheets for under 40 cents. After walking around the store for what felt like hours hoping new items would appear in the clearance section, I started searching the isles and I came across some die cuts I could use in future projects, Of COURSE they were on sale. I then went to the Valentine’s section and found a super cute set of stickers that were 40% off the $3.99, but I got to the register and they rang up for 50% off. $2 for 2 sheets of stickers, that’s Dollar Tree prices.

Lastly, they had select home decor for 90% off and I ended up buying a bowl for 80 cents and a plate, regular $11.99, for $1.80. I’m not exactly sure what I’ll be doing with the plate just yet, but the bowl will be heading to my desk at work.
