What is May Designs?

Logo designer, Mica May, was always a notebook junkie – but couldn’t find the PERFECT one. On a whim, she began designing them for herself, with patterns + insides she wanted. Clients & friends wanted them too, so she threw some patterns up online and May Books was born nearly overnight. In addition to notebooks they offer stationery, calendars, and (FREE) desktop/phone downloads. They have been featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things (2014), Oprah Magazine, Good Morning America, the Today Show, and People Style Watch.

  • Large Notebooks – 7.5″ x 9.75″ – $20 (96 pages)
  • Classic Notebooks – 5″ x 8″ – $15 (80 pages)
  • Mini Notebooks  – 4″ x 5.75″ – $12 (64)

The inside pages of each planner varies depending on size. The Mini Notebooks have the smallest variation (which is obvious since it’s small) while the Classic Notebooks have the most.

    • lines(B&W, aqua, pink), dot grid, graph, blank
    • Agenda | months + weeks, months + dots, daily agenda, weekly + graph (2 options), basic weekly

How will I be Using?

I will be using the classic notebook in the Floral Rugby Stripe design with lined pages as a blog archive. I’ll be doing a separate post setting up my blog archive, plus my previous notebook. As for what is my blog archive, it’s every blog post that I publish separated by month. For certain posts, such as favorites, I add that information as well. Post on that set up coming soon!

Bank Or Tank?

I would definitely BANK this product. It would be nice if you could customize the inside pages. For instance with 80 pages in the classic style have 20,20,40 a mixture of lines, blank space, and graph. Despite that, you can just purchase a few of the notebooks mixing and matching and carry them traveler’s notebook style. I’m obsessed and I can’t wait to get a real (leather) cover.

While I mentioned a con as the price, that may be the issue with some simply because they can’t see themselves paying $12-$20 (excluding extras) for a notebook. For the QUALITY that you’re getting, these are a great price.

These notebooks are amazing quality and they’re great to collect. A lot of notebooks end up going in the trash, but for all you journal lovers, major listers, just need a notebook, these notebooks are for you.
