Plan As I Go | Peppermint Lane

Welcome to another holiday related post here on the blog. I’ve shared my last minute holiday party planning tips, Christmas planner spreads, and more. This spread is another Christmas themed spread. I plan on cranking out a few more of these before the big day. Crazy that we’re 2 weeks away from Christmas.

I used my Plum Paper planner for this. I had planned this week in my Happy Planner, but I didn’t like how it turned out so I went to my memory planner to create this spread. Check out my Fall rewind here.

As always, be sure to click the highlighted links throughout this spread for related posts and links to purchase items/similar styles featured.

The inspiration behind this spread was the Creatology ‘Peppermint Lane’ sticker book that I got from Michaels for under $1. If you’re not using an Etsy sticker kit then you can take these $1 sticker books, add some washi, and create your own.

One key thing I love about the Plum Paper planner are the lines. The lines add structure to the spread. The Happy Planner and Erin Condren Life Planner have the same vertical style except with open space and using a kit adds structure to the layout. Now with the lines, the structure is already there.

When I use my Plum Paper planner,  I typically just use stickers from my sticker stash instead of Etsy stickers. I play around a lot more in this planner. I don’t really care if it bulks up. I’ll let weeks go by without planning in it and then ‘bulk plan’ in one night. Sometimes I just like to break out my stickers and since I don’t plan ahead, this planner is a great outlet.

I used the washi to cover the top and the bottom headers. I use the bottom to write in my TV shows. For the sidebar I used full boxes that I had leftover from a spread I created last year to cover the calendar (which I hate) and the notes section. I then layered deco from the sticker book on top and created a mini to do list.

Planner Tip: You can use the bottom section of the Plum Paper to write in your top 3 tasks of the day or if you’re using it as a memory planner, your top 3 highlights. You can do this in the Erin Condren/Happy Planner as well by using washi to section off a spot to right your highlight. You can also use the sidebar for your highlight of the week as well.

For the rest of the week I used snowflakes to make my daily checklists and that peppermint washi to break up the day here and there. I also added in my giveaway days/winners. More significant things of the day I did write it larger on that particular day.

To enter my giveaway, head over to my Instagram, @ChaoticCritic. It’s U.S. ONLY! It will be ending December 20th, but there’s 7 prizes left if you’re interested!

I wrapped up the spread by adding in more deco to the top and to the bottom corner. Adding in the penguins at the top really filled out the spread. While this isn’t the most ‘Christmasy’ spread, it definitely has the ‘Christmasy’ feel. More Christmas spreads to come! Check out last week here.
