Welcome to another post here on the blog and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I wanted to share my December monthly plan with me. It’ll be an overload of planner content between decorating pages to my Planning for 2017 series.

The first thing I did when creating this spread was put down my football stickers. This is the last full month of the regular season. Before I know it, it’ll be playoffs and the the Super Bowl. I used the washi from the Michaels seasonal washi tape box. I love the plaid print. I was going to stack it on top of each other, but it didn’t look right.
Next, I went in and marked birthdays. There’s 4 this month and I used left over I had from an Art Box Stickers kit. I did the same in marking a few events I had this month plus bills. When marking my bills, I just layered a credit card sticker on top of the quarter box. I haven’t added bills to my monthly spread because it looks a little too crowded, but not adding them makes me forget. I use my monthly spread as reference and I’d rather it be there than to leave it out.
Planner Tip: If you have left over stickers from a kit, don’t throw them away. You can use them in future spreads for little tidbits such as birthdays, appointments, events, etc.
For the decorative stickers, I pulled out my $1 sticker books. I love to use them to decorate all types of spreads and they’re great for beginners. Larger stickers can cover up an entire box and if you don’t have much going on it really helps to fill out the space.
In my sidebar, I used to put my bills there, but between the football stickers taking up all the space on Sunday (which is fine with me), I had to put some things in the sidebar. Since I had more space, well I usually do, but I had a lot of stickers that I could incorporate into this, from Christmas phrases to a Happy Planner quote.
Planner Tip: Try filling the sidebar with your top events of the month, bills, or if you want a more decorative touch, add scrapbook paper.
Last year my Christmas spread looked like Christmas threw up in my planner and not in a good way. I love the rustic look of this. It could densely be way more ‘Christamsy’, but I like how it turned out as is. Plus the Christmas Forest sticker book gives me that rustic feel that I love so mush. All 4 spreads in December will be Christmas themed anyway.
