Plan With Me | Thanksgiving Week

Welcome back to another post here on the blog. I haven’t posted a Plan With Me in a few weeks, but I’ve been planning as usual. This Plan With Me is for Thanksgiving week and starting next week expect a Christmas overload of content from planner spreads to decor and DIYs. To wrap up 2016 I’ll be sharing my top 5 tips to get you ready for 2017. Lot’s coming so buckle up and enjoy the ride.

If you’ve missed it, be sure to check out my Planning for 2017 series here. As always, be sure to click the links throughout this post for related posts and links to purchase items/similar styles featured.

This spread is not as ‘Thanksgiving-esque’ (yeah, let’s go with that) as last year. I had this gorgeous kit from Art Box Stickers that I bought over the Summer and I’ve been hoarding it to use for Thanskgiving week. I won a Thanksgiving sampler from KeShaJo (@HeyGirlPlanning) so the two were the premise for this spread.

Now you’ll have to follow me on Instagram (@ChaoticCritic) to see how I fill everything in, but here’s a skeletal look of it all.

Planner Tip: When planning try planning day by day instead of all at once. The ‘all at once’ can be a bit overwhelming if you’re unsure of how to fill the space.

In the Happy Planner that I have, there were blue diamonds on the bottom. I wanted to place the full boxes at the bottom unlike my birthday spread where I placed them in the middle. I covered the diamonds with left over sticker paper I had, but you could easily cover it with regular computer paper. Since the boxes were made for the Erin Condren, which have shorter boxes than the HP, I laid the full boxes down first and then laid the bottom washi underneath to fill it out.

For the half boxes that came in this kit, I don’t have a whole lot going on this week so using them up should be interesting. I also placed some horizontal and some vertical. Play with the placement and add an icon sticker to mark what it is.

Planner Tip: If you’re using more than one planner, yes it happens, don’t force yourself to use the kit in just one spread. Use your extras in your traveler’s notebook, personal planner, or for a future spread. Don’t cram stickers in just to use them. Save them for another time.

Looking at the spread I’m not a super huge fan of the boxes at the bottom, but I know once I finish filling in the spread it’ll look better. For the sidebar, I took the full box with the quote from the kit and placed it over the calendar. That’s pretty typical for me. If there’s quote, in the corner it goes. I then made a checklist for ‘work’ to mark my blog posts of the week, cleaning to stay on track for all the cleaning before Thanksgiving, and Happy Mail!

Side note: I will be having a 12 Days of Giveaways on my Instagram starting December 1st! Be sure to follow me @ChaoticCritic to stay updated.
