Welcome to another post here on the blog. I wanted to share how I decorate the ‘This Month Currently’ page in the Happy Planner. For those that are new to my blog, I use my ‘This Month Currently’ page as a scrapbook to keep track of memories/goals/birthdays, etc.

When decorating this page, I really wanted to build on my monthly spread for September. I love how that one turned out simply using. Looking back at last month, I was trying to mix so many left over scrap pieces that I had that it just didn’t work.
I didn’t go too crazy with this layout unlite what I did the previous month. I layered the floral and yellow washi that I had. I saw Nikkiplus3 do this a lot in her spreads and I love how it turned out.
I covered the ‘This Month Currently’ section along with the calendar at the top with white computer paper. I really wanted to bring in the craft stickers and labels I purchased from Dollar Tree and customize my own sections. I did end up keeping the sections: birthday, ‘I am grateful for,’ and important dates.
As fro the sections I created this month, I love to keep track of my music favorites so I left a huge sticker for that and layered a sticker I purchased from Five Below as a header. I created a memories section using a Heidi Swapp sticker. Lastly, I added in the Steelers games for the month.
I took those same stickers and used them for the birthday and important date sections. I just cut the longer sticker in half and cut it into a flag.
Planner Tip: Don’t be afraid to cut up your stickers and make them work for you. It’s easy to hoard stickers because they’re ‘too pretty’ or ‘brand new.’ Work with your stash!
I had some difficulties writing on these stickers. I was using a PaperMate Inkjoy Gel pen (0.7), but the pen skips and smudges so much, especially since these are glossy. I had to rewrite quite a bit. Be careful if you plan on buying these. Write them and let them dry a bit before applying it to your page.
Also, when moving these stickers around, they do lose their stickiness. I’m very picky when it comes to the placement of my stickers so I tend to move them around a lot. Just keep that in mind when using these.
This spread goes to show how you can customize your Happy Planner. In the memories section I could add a picture or a movie ticket, if I go to see one. If you don’t want to have a music section you could make a section for books you want to read, your top 3 goals, restaurants you want to try. This page can be a snapshot of your month after it happens or what you’d like to accomplish for the month overall. I love that I’ve been able to make use of the space and not have it wasted like it has been previously.
