Hey everybody and HAPPY FRIDAY! I hope you all have had an amazing week. I wanted to share some items that I’ve accumulated from Dollar Tree, Michaels, Five Below, and Target. A lot of random nick knacks, but a lot will be featured in upcoming posts for DIYs. So excited to share these items with you all, plus a couple new reads.
Be sure to click the links throughout the post for related posts and links to purchase items featured. Enjoy!
Stores are flooding with sales like every other week and on top of that it’s back to school season. You can score a lot of great goodies to incorporate into your planner from pens to binders and folders to make you own covers/dashboards. I went on a hunt primarily at Dollar Tree for some items to create covers for my Happy Planner and I scored a few other planner goodies elsewhere.
Let’s start off with Target, Michaels, and Five Below. The Target that I went to didn’t have a lot of the back to school items that I wanted. I really wanted the washi tape, but that wasn’t there. So, I just picked up a pack of the rainbow labels and I’ll be using those especially with my scrapbooks that I’m working on (coming soon). Then from Michaels I went in for my grandmother and there were a lot of sales. I found the string journal (similar to the traveller’s notebook style) from the Boho Collection which was 60% off. There was also a coupon for 20% off your purchase so I scored the journal for under $5. Since there was a Five Below in the area, I stopped in and picked up a couple packs of stickers. Each were $1.
Dollar Tree, oh Dollar Tree. I had been hunting down the chopping mats to create DIY covers and some other goodies for my planner. I’m always inspired to step out the box and repurpose items after watching CoupontoProvide‘s videos. She’s the repurpose queen. I found the cutting mats along with some other items to make planner goodies. I’ll be making a cover with the “nerds rule” binder and I’ll have to figure out what I’m doing with the pocket view folder. The monthly planner that I scored will be for my blog. (Bonus monthly planer layouts will be coming soon!) Lastly, they had wrestling stickers in stock, so I picked up the three that I saw.
I love finding new books and while I’d love to read more, school and this blog takes up a lot of my time. Once school is over, I’ll have a lot more reading time on my hands and the Chaotic Reads segment will return. I mean, who doesn’t love a book for $1. I couldn’t pass on the Phil Jackson book and the one by Touré Roberts is great for motivation. Can’t wait to start reading.

I also picked up a couple household basics. Nothing really major. I do love buying Ajax/Comet from the Dollar Tree since the cans are so large. Plus the rubber gloves which should be replaced from time to time are from a name brand. I just got the dryer sheets with the most count. They also have name brand like Gain, but you only get 15 sheets in a pack. Not worth it for the $1. They also have the 10 oz detergent bottles that are great for travel.
