Welcome to a ‘bonus’ plan with me here on the blog. I wasn’t planning on sharing a spread this week, but here it is. I went with a red, white, and blue theme for Memorial Day and I really love how it turned out. I pulled stickers from here and there in my sticker stash to create the spread and I went with the Ruby Trev ‘Plan As I Go’ style and I love it. Be sure to click all links throughout the post.
I had left over washi strips from PlannerKate1 and I decided to use them instead of waiting until the 4th of July. I’ll figure that spread out later. I also had purchased the new 4th of July stickers from Target so I decided to incorporate them into this spread as well. As for the striped tape, that’s from Dollar Tree and I had initially just placed it at the bottom to cover the design, but I went back in once I placed all my other stickers and added here and there on each day to balance out the stars. I will say that this tape doesn’t stick well once it’s moved around.
I don’t particularly care if the headers say Today, To Do, or Little Things, since I have a daily checklist of my top 3. The checklist were left over from JuJuAllOver and the headers were from Stickeriffic.
Planner Tip: Cut your stickers if you need to. Whether it’s a full box or a checklist. Cut them to suit your needs and cut them to maximize them throughout your spread.
I love cutting my checklists down to 3. It can be overwhelming having a daily to do that’s 6-7 points long. After a long day at work, the last thing I want to do is tackle that list. It’s easier and more manageable for me to focus on my top 3 of the day and fill in as needed if anything else comes up.
For my sidebar I made a running to do list for the week which I’ve been loving to do. It’s great for those things you have to do,you don’t have to do on a particular day, yet you need to get them done. I love the Life Quote stickers from Me & My Big Ideas. This quote could not be more fitting:
Trust the timing of your life.
I added a few decorative stickers here and there, but I didn’t want to go crazy with this spread. After last week, I really wanted to leave more white space to fill in as the week progresses.
I absolutely love the way this spread turned out. I know it’ll fill up throughout the week. Want to see a decked out red/white/blue spread? Click HERE. Be sure to click the links below to stickers/washi used in this spread.
