49th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards - Red CarpetLast year’s honoree for Billboard’s Woman of the Year was Pink! and this year the honor goes to Taylor Swift. She had quite a feat with her latest album Red and this is great momentum leading up to the release of her new album, 1989 ,in just a few weeks (10.27).

This award began in 2007 and aside from Pink and Taylor Swift other winners include: Reba McEntire, Ciara, Beyoncé, and Katy Perry. Taylor Swift is the first winner to receive the award twice. Her first time was back in 2011.

We are tremendously excited to be honoring her as the 2014 Billboard Woman of the Year for the second time.”
