Super Bowl Blitz

VH1 is teaming up with the NFL for a week long spectacular, ‘Super Bowl Blitz: Six Night + Six Shows.’ VH1 will be airing 6 shows live throughout the NYC / NJ area at 11pm EST starting January 27th all the way until the eve of the Super Bowl. Hosting the event will be Nick Cannon and Stacy Keibler. Here’s the lineup:

  • 1/27: J. Cole – Kupferberg Center for Arts (Queens College)

  • 1/28: Janelle Monae – Lehman College (Bronx)

  • 1/29: Fall Out Boy (Brooklyn)

  • 1/30: TLC – Beacon Theatre (Manhattan)

  • 1/31: Goo Goo Dolls – St. George Theatre (Staten Island)

  • 2/1: Gavin DeGraw (NJ)

NFL is also teaming with EA Sports for a 3-day, 1-night concerts at the Bud Light Hotel. The event lasts from Thursday, January 30th, to Super Bowl Sunday February 2nd.

We’ve brought together a world-class lineup of concerts that features some of the biggest names in the industry – including Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons and The Roots – and pays tribute to New York City’s impact on music and culture,” said Rob McCarthy, vice president, Bud Light via a press release. “With the help of our amazing partners, EA SPORTS, Pandora and Pepsi, this year’s Bud Light Hotel will stand apart as one of the premier destinations for Super Bowl week entertainment.

REVOLT TV (Diddy’s network) will be having a show as well with Drake headlining. Of course Diddy will be performing as well. That show will be at NYCs Highline Stages.

Bruno Mars will take the stage at halftime and although people are worrisome about him performing in the cold, he doesn’t seem to be.

I know it’s going to be cold and I just got to face it. I’m going to wear a beekeeper suit…even if I have to build a chimney onstage, perform around a fire, I’ll do it.

Check out VH1 for ticket information on the shows and be sure to watch Super Bowl XLVII LIVE on CBS, 6:20 PM, EST.
